Test file needed in certification RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I include a test file for my app for certification?

The app is basically a tool to read bankstatements from a specific format.
For the rest the app has no connections to the outside world and only can open a file locally stored of in skydrive..

But for the testing the testers need to have a file now..
I first copied the contents of the file and gav instructions on how to do it all but now I have an update and cannot get it certified.. as it lacks test data..

I don't want the end user to be able to read that file as it is fake data..
I tried to add the file as content but where does it go when the app gets installed? You cannot get access through the file picker?!

Anybody has an idea on how I can solve this problem?

    With kind regards,

    Michael Hensen

  • You need to create a test account for the testers, example: myapptester@live.com, then upload the test file to the SkyDrive folder of that account. Make sure in the 'Notes to testers' field you give the account info including password so the tester can log into it and access file. The end user shall not see any of that. Good luck.
