Unable to install .NET framework on Windows XP 64-bit RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I purchased and downloaded a software which I could not install as I was asked to get  the
.NET framework installed first. So I went over to the site and downloaded the .NET framework
3.5 SP 1 (bootstrapper) and clicked on the install now botton which opened a box requesting me
to save the file. I did this but when I tried to install it on my system, I got the message "Suite
Integration Toolkit Executable has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Reporting this to microsoft yielded no result. I re-tried the installation several times with no success.

    I use MS Windows XP 64bit, Professional, Version 2002, SP 2, Pentium(R) IV, CPU 3.00GHz, RAM 760MB.

Please can you help me out?
