Where is the DirectX Control Panel

    Question

  • Hi,

I want test how my d3d app behaves on different feature levels and I saw in a presentation ("DirectX Graphics Debugging Tools") that I can do so using the DirectX Control Panel. However doing a search on the startscreen and inside C:\Windows\System32 yields no result. So where's the DirectX control Panel or how can I install it? I have the Windows SDK installed btw.

    Thanks

  • I am sorry, I have found it. I was looking for the wrong name. The DirectX control Panel has been renamed from directx.cpl to dxcpl.exe.
