FAXCOMEX FaxServer.Connect call throwing COMException RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having difficulties getting FAXCOMEX.dll to work properly in my code.
    I am attempting to connect to a Windows 2008 Server from an XP Professional box using the FaxServer object from the FAX Service COM Extended API.

    FaxServer server = new FaxServer();
    server.Connect(
    "FAXDEVMN01");
    FaxDocument doc = new FaxDocument();
    doc.Recipients.Add(
    "6125551234", "Test Recipient 1");
    doc.Recipients.Add(
    "6125551235", "Test Recipient 2");
    doc.Body = fileName;
    doc.ConnectedSubmit(server);
    server.Disconnect();

    I am recieving a COMException was unhandled.
    "The fax server API version does not support the requested operation."

    This is happening on server.Connect.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Dan
