    Hi dupin.

The one I use is called yED by yWorks. It is free and it really is quite nice for diagram modeling. Has some really great features and very customizable. Even has a really great diagram refactoring tool that allows for automatic heirarchal, circular, tree organization and many more.

Very very easy to use as well! :)

Now you can't run in directly in visual studio as is, but they do offer a large selection of plug-ins for various platforms (.net, java, html, andriod, etc) that add additional features specific to the particular language including code generation from diagrams.

I do recall seeing a plug-in for visual studio as well. I believe they may also support that through their plug-in series called yFiles. Yfile plugins are not free I don't think but they do have evaluations of them before buying. Definitely worth it.

Anyways, check it out. Definitely get's my thumbs up!
