Accessing Azure Table storage from C# windows forms app

    Question

  • I have an app that compiles fine. At runtime I am receiving an error of "object reference not set to an instance of an object". I am running this thru Visual Studio 2015. I can see the table and Keys thru storage explorer.

    <configuration>
      <startup>
        <supportedRuntime version="v4.0" sku=".NETFramework,Version=v4.5.2" />
      </startup>
      <appSettings>
        <add key="StorageConnectionString" value="DefaultEndpointsProtocol=https;AccountName=lamdanholdings;AccountKey=******" />
      </appSettings>
    </configuration>

    Any idea what the problem could be?

    Thanks in advance - Dan

Answers

  • My problem was I had upgraded to the app to the latest .net and needed to change my connection string using get setting just as it is defined in the current Azure Table documentation.
