Azure AD connect Exception: The Registry Key SetupFiles was not found RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi- After Azure Active Directory auto updated (it was installed and working just fine for several months), when I try and open the "Azure AD Connect" application, I get an error. All other related applications are working as expected. Has anyone seen this before that could provide some direction?

An error has occurred on the Root page, preventing Azure AD Connect from continuing. To protect exiting data, the wizard must be closed.

Exception: The Registry Key SetupFiles was not found

  • Running of Azure AD connect requires the latest version of Microsoft PowerShell and .NET Framework 4.5.1

Suggest you to first install these and then try to run the Azure AD Connect again.
