I found a very simple solution. Straight forwarded and No-code solution. Works perfectly fine in browser and desktop app both on Windows and Mac.
I am sharing the simple solution here so that it will be benefited for everyone.

Hi SharePoint2016,
When you click Export to Excel to export a SharePoint list on a Mac, it doesn't open the file in Excel for Mac and instead downloads the query.iqy file. This is working as expected as the internet query connection is not supported by Excel for Mac.
Workaround:
If you have Excel for Windows, you can save the file as XLSX and then open it in Excel for Mac. You'll be able to see the data but you won't be able to refresh the data connection.
Below article for your reference:
You can use the codeplex solution to export as well.

I don’t think its a proper solution when we cannot the refresh the data. How about get external from a SharePoint list?

Thank you for the confirmation. I can only say you have to use the work around process for Mac Users, I don't think is there any other way other then i have provided.

No need of custom code and i don't think any code will work as well. You can use the workaround from below codeplex for SharePoint Export to Excel in MacOS.
