syntax error in access when using function in Expression Builder RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Access 2016 I use any function for build expression it has syntax error: you omitted an operand or operator, you entered an invalid character or comma,... For example: IIf(«expression»؛ «truepart»؛ «falsepart»). Default character for input arguments is "؛". But in office help syntax is ",". Even with the character ";" it also gives the same error. Please help me. Thanks

  • Can you post the expression that is generating this error.

Also, you have to use the separator that is defined by your computer's regional settings.  Typically, it is the comma ',' for the en language, but if you have another setting in your region settings then you need to use it instead.
