Error within XML Namespace, while creating a button!!! RRS feed

  • Hello,

    While i was creating a resource button like so:-
    i draw a button > right click > Edit Controls Part (Tempate) > Edit a Copy > Click on NEW > changed XAML name > click OK >
    > changed the resource name (key) > Click OK > and then ERORR

    the error message i got as below...

    "XML namespace prefix does not map to a namespace URI, so cannot resolve propert "RenderDefaulted". Error at line 7 Position 43.

    and when i do right click on this message box i got another box says :

    "The element "" could not be displayed because of a problem with System.String: "XML namespace prefix does not map to a namespace URI, so cannot resolve propert "RenderDefaulted".

    I got this error on Blend and Blend2.

  • This will happen if you are trying use Expression Blend 2, and have .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 Beta installed. For now, the workaround is to use Blend 2.5 June Preview which we just released.

    When .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 finally ships, please be assured that Blend 2 RTM will work fine on it.

  • I have the same issue. Using the 2.5 preview is not an option for my project.

    Any other way to resolve?

  • I tried Blend 2.5 June Preview and it does work fine, i did not get this problem any more.
