USB Disk On Key, not recognized automatically in Explorer Window RRS feed

  • Question

  • The following description happens at two separate customers on totally different hardware.

I created WES7 Image with Command Prompt Shell.

At the command prompt I ran explorer.exe and the explorer windows opened.

    Now, I plugged in a USB Disk-On-Key.

I expected to see a drive letter added to the Drive list, but it didn't happened.

So, I closed the explorer and ran it again. Now the Disk On key appears in the explorer.

The problem is that my customers wrote an application, expecting to wake an event once a Disk-On-Key is plugged in, but it didn't recognized in the same manner as in the explorer windows

Note: On the same hardware, with regular windows 7, problem Doesn't occurs. and applicationsas well as explorer responding to Inserted Disk-On-Key well.

    Any Idea?

    Thanks In advance,

  • If you build a full WES7 image with all drivers and application compatibility package, do you get the same issue? / / Book Author - Pro Guide to WE8S, Pro Guide to WES 7, Pro Guide to POS for .NET
