How to Use System.Net.PeerToPeer for following task? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm was hoping to see a (simple) myserver with clients do a P2P using TCP NAT Traversal in .NET 4. like the following:

    1. CLIENT-A connect to the myserver.

    2. CLIENT-B connect to the myserver.

    3. The myserver tells CLIENT-B to connect to CLIENT-A.

    4. Then CLIENT-A and CLIENT-B implements P2P ( By using  the NAT traversal offer in .NET 4 ).-(here i want some sample codes)

any link would be very much appreciated.

  • No, System.Net.PeerToPeer namespace does not provide what you want.

It is basically the interface exposing PNRP functionalities (much like DNS, except without DNS server) for you to use. Nothing related to NAT transversal here.

  • Hi Rahul,

    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.

Here is a dedicated forum for this issue: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ncl/threads

    And I move it there.
