navigation between applications RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I click a web link on a metro application, it will open ie. But after reading the info and closing the ie, I should be able to continue where I was with the original app. in desktop mode because the window open at the background thre is no confusion and don't need to do anything to continue.

Is it possible to switch back to referring app automatically after closing ie instead of going back to start screen?

  • No, once you launch another app, you lose the context of where you came from.

  • Thanks.

That would be a problem. So any method to use the "desktop ie" instead of the "metro ie" for the links in the metro apps?

  • The user is in charge of what browser will be used and this is not controlled by an individual program.
