Image information in powerpoint RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am working on a powerpoint automation service and need to extract some information like, height, width and positioning on slide related information.

    I am able to get this image as Blip and not as graphic or picture or shape. Anyway, how can I get this information using

    Blip ?

    Also, I am not able to get WordArt or arrow shapes using blip, how can I get those and the related information as well?

    Looking for reply.

  • Hi Asim,

    Thanks for your question.

    Similar to the text box location information, you could find the information by using the Productivity Tool's "Compare Files". One thing I don't quite understand is that how do you get the image as Blip? For when I look into a slide with an image inserted, the file format is like this:

    <p:pic>

    <p:nvPicPr>

    <p:cNvPr id="4" name="Picture 3" />

    <p:cNvPicPr>

    <a:picLocks noChangeAspect="1" />

    </p:cNvPicPr>

    <p:nvPr />

    </p:nvPicPr>

    <p:blipFill>

    <a:blip r:embed="rId2">

    <a:extLst>

    <a:ext uri="{28A0092B-C50C-407E-A947-70E740481C1C}">

    <a14:useLocalDpi xmlns:a14="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/drawing/2010/main" val="0" />

    </a:ext>

    </a:extLst>

    </a:blip>

    <a:stretch>

    <a:fillRect />

    </a:stretch>

    </p:blipFill>

    <p:spPr>

    <a:xfrm>

    <a:off x="2133600" y="1790700" />

    <a:ext cx="4648200" cy="3486150" />

    </a:xfrm>

    <a:prstGeom prst="rect">

    <a:avLst />

    </a:prstGeom>

    </p:spPr>

    </p:pic>

    The width/height information is located under "p:spPr" rather than the "a:blip" element.

    Hope this helps. If you have any question, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Lu
