Service Packs upgrade in MSSQL 2008r2

  • Hello ,

    In my environment, We are using SQL Server 2008r2.We are planning to upgrade RTM version latest service pack.Please see the below current version of SQL server 2008R2.

    Please provide whick service packs is best to upgrade and provide steps for isntalling service packs.

    SQL Server Version:

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) - 10.50.1600.1 (X64)   Apr  2 2010 15:48:46   Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation  Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (Hypervisor)

    Service packs are cumulative so you only need to install the latest (SP3).  See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2527041.  Follow the install instructions detailed in the download link.
