  • No it's not the same checksum. I get this after running the tool

    4E0698BBABE01ED27582C9FC16AD21C4422913CC

and the one you show me is

    6FE9352FB59F6D0789AF35D1001BD4E4E81E42AF

Have to try to download it again until i get the right checksum

But now i know how to check the checksum in a file. Great! :-)

    Thanks for your help Andre!

  • Maybe the ISO is corrupted? Download it again and compare the SHA1 hash values.

  • I'm not sure how to do that.

Where can i see if the Sha 1 hash is the same in the iso file?

  • I use this shellextension:

    http://code.kliu.org/hashcheck/

to generate the hash values. You can copy the expected value in the edit box and the tool compares them.

  • The first time I downloaded the 32bit Version, it was only 537 MB.

The Second time I Downloaded it (1st time did not work) it was 905 MB.

This is a far cry from the 2GB stated in the release. Each time the download completes (takes almost 2 hours each time)
and each time the disc will burn and start the install correctly but error out during the install.

  • Ok x647 thanks for your reply

What i do is i try to copy it with TeraCopy from my local drive to my network drive, there i can pretty quick see if the file is ok or not and then i don't have to try to burn a DVD and then throw it out every time.

The sha 1 hash values dont match.

I have been able to burn the DVD as well.

  • I got the error couple of times. Virtualbox, Win 8 64Bit on Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate.

First when i downloaded attached the iso, its not booting. This is due to corrupt .ISO file.

I avoided by downloading it again, this time i am struck with 3 percent.

I avoided by increasing the ram from 2gb to 4 gb, 1 processor to 2 processor and 20gb to 22gb disk space.

I again struck at 72%, dont know why.

Finally finished next time but could not connect to internet.

  • I'm trying to install it through VMWare, but get an error: Windows failed to load cause a critical system driver is missing or coorrupted

When i try to install it on this computer it seems to work, but i'm stopping the installation cause i actually don't want to install it on this computer.

  • Any updates on this I've downloaded the 32 bit version at least 5 times, with Firefox, IE 9, Microsoft Download Manager nothing works the file is always corrupted and fails the hash compare. It also fails to install. As other downloads I do aren't having any issues there has to be a problem on the MS side.

  • Try the download from a different computer if possible. Since I don't know what  you are using to burn the ISO, try using the Windows Disc Image Burner as listed below.

This error may be caused by a bad burn of the .ISO. Try re-downloading and re-burning the .ISO file. Also, it may help to burn using a lower speed if the software you are using to burn the .ISO supports that function.

On Windows 7, the easiest way to convert this file is to use Windows Disc Image Burner
