Visual Studio improves Help Viewer for Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • The Visual Studio “Help” team received significant feedback requesting a Help experience that is more familiar to what shipped in previous versions of Visual Studio. Therefore, for Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1), they have been working hard to develop an offline client Help viewer that is similar in some ways to the Document Explorer (Dexplore.exe) that shipped in previous versions of Visual Studio. As always, the Library Experience team welcomes your feedback. Please send feedback through the Help Feedback alias (hlpfdbk@microsoft.com) or simply leave comments on the various blog posts. We look forward to hearing from you!

  • It was extremely bad idea to remove index and full subject tree from any library viewing tool be it offline client or online web site - good it is coming back at least in offline client. Unfortunately it is a bit late for me and many other fellow developers - majority of my work has been migrated over last 3 years to eclipse and non MS technologies anyway.
