we started all of a sudden having issues this morning with our Exchange environment. We are getting some events in the log most notably event ID 326. What happened this morning is the users couldn't open outlook. It gave them the "can't open
your default folders" message. We rebooted the 2003 server and everything seemed ok for 2 hours. We had 2,000 messages stuck in the queue but they cleared after the reboot. We have since booted the 2010 servers and the domain controllers. Some users could
open up outlook fine and others had to try 3 or 4 times and then it would open. It's been sporadic today ever since. Right now all is well but we get these 326 errors referencing the CN SMTP. I am wondering if SMTP is corrupted or something. We tried searching
the GUID it referenced but it couldn't find it.
we did check services, have rebooted servers, etc. Your link basically says to reinstall exchange. Not sure that's the best possible path here for an enterprise. My users are all in and working right now somehow but the errors in exchange persist. We get
that 326 error every 2-3 minutes and we don't see a 327 error.
