  • What do you mean by a screen button?

    You can programmatically open an Appbar by setting its IsOpen property

  • Rob,

    I want to open and AppBar with a page button. I just found IsOpen Property and that might be it.  Will let you know.

    Thanks,

    Grim

  • You may want to take a look at the AppBar Hint Control. It's based on the Windows Phone app bar opener, but it's getting very popular in WinRT too. It looks like the ellipsis button at the bottom of the Outlook app. All you need to add in your XAML is something like this:

    <local:CollapsedAppBar HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" />
    If you don't like the UI, you can still reuse the source code (e.g. in a real button).
