Creating comport via bluetooth, windows mobile and pc. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

This is my first post here, and I am starting to write my first program.
I want to create simple program on my pc and mobile that can send and received data via bluetooth connection.

The problem I have is when I paired my phone and pc, it doesn't create incoming and outgoing port. It should create it automatically right?
and it also doesn't allow me to add manually.

The services that listed under my phone is only dial-up networking.

what could be the cause of the problem? and my mobile is detected as a smartphone,is it suppose to be like that?
Im using windows mobile 6.1 phone, X1.

thanks for any help or suggestion..

  • Hi,

If you are using microsoft bluetooth add wizard, then it allow you to send and receive files.
To paired device manually, using BluetoothAuthenticateDevice() function.
If you want to send any data over bluetooth, then you have to use socket programming.
You can create bluetooth socket using RFCOMM protocol and send data over it.
You can take help of MSDN.
