Depth Map Pixel -> Joint RRS feed

  • In my understanding the internal algorithm for the skeletal tracking assigns each pixel on the depth map to the most likely body part. With the Kinect SDK it is possible to get the player index of a pixel, but is there a way to access the assigned joint as well?

  • No, it isn't available. The shading I've seen for the body segmentation leads me to believe it's not nearly as clear cut as the player segmentation. It seems to be transitions between definitely this to definitely that with a whole lot of maybes between. Also I think there's an issue of that's their IP. OpenNI won't do that for you either. That's actually the Nite SDK and that's not open source.
