After Connection object object change i need to Publish ALL before Debug

    General discussion

  • HI

I have created a pipeline it works, i have another pipeline in jason format that i had deployed to ADF using powershell

then i Publish All and clicked on debug , it failed

i found out that my jason scripts changes the connection objects, so i fixed the connection objects and clicked on debug and it failed.I did this again and again and again.

i found out that after you change the connection object you must Publish ALL and then start doing your tests or use the debug

I think that this is a interface issue that needs to be solved.

  • Could you share more information? What is the linked service type and activity type you are working on?

  • They are all BLOB base

    Account selection method:  Enter Manually

    Storage Account name : MyStorageName

    Storage Account Key : *********

try this. a pipeline that copies files , make it simple that it works , now change the blob connection link ser to another blob, you will see that it does not show you that something has changed so the Publish All is still disabled

  • Hi Nik, that's because when you edit the linked service, the linked service part has already been directly published to get the encrypted credentials. So you don't need click publish All again.

If you are using Azure Key Vault to store your account key, then the UI will not directly publish the linked service because there is no credential inside it. And in this case, you need click publish all to publish it.
