Deployment to remote network server fails but no errors.... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have configured my build server and web server so that I should be able to do a automatic deployment after a successful build in TFS. But even if I get a successful build the deployment does not happen when running the TFS build. If I run the Publish Web in VS 2010 it runs fine and the service is deployd on the remote server.

    Here is my MSBuild arguments:

    /p:DeployOnBuild=True
    /p:DeployTarget=MSDeployPublish
    /p:MSDeployPublishMethod=RemoteAgent
    /p:MsDeployServiceUrl=http://<serverName>
    /p:DeployIISAppPath="Default Web Site/<ServiceName>"
    /p:AllowUntrustedCertificated=True
    /p:UserName=<username>
    /p:Password=<password>

This should be enough according to this much referenced article on the topic.

As I said I'm not getting any indication that something is wrong. I just observe that the web server is not updated. Any suggestions?
