microsoft.research.kinect don't appear in the references of VS2010 RRS feed

  • I have installed the Kinect sdk and i don't find the microsoft.research.kinect in my vs2010 + SP1.

    How can I do?

  • First, make sure you followed the directions completely.  Specifically:

    Note: You must close Visual Studio before installing the SDK and then restart it after installation to pick up the KINECTSDK_DIR environment variables that the SDK requires.

     

    If you have done that, then you might just need to set the KINECTSDK_DIR variable manually.

    Please post back if manually setting an environment variable solved your problem.

  • microsoft.research.kinect is from the older beta of the SDK. If you have older code, you will need to port this to the newer namespaces. This is outlined here:http://robrelyea.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/k4w-code-migration-from-beta2-to-v1-0-managed/

    Once you have the SDK and toolkit installed, be sure to test first with the sample code to ensure the files are installed and working correctly.
