Allow any Windows Live ID to sign in?

    Question

  • Is it possible to allow ANY Windows Live ID to sign in to a computer without manually adding the user to the local computer? When the RTM is available, I am thinking about putting up a customer kiosk and allowing any customer to login to the computer with their Windows Live ID. I was thinking there might be something in the Local Security Policy, but found nothing.

  • Just some questions, why do you want user to login using their live id?

Is there any settings or profile that you want from user to be share?

  • Hello JA10241,

Have you tried logging on with Windows Live ID's that do not have accounts on your system?

I tried and was not able to log on as it didn't give an option since there was not an account for that Windows Live ID.
Is this the same scenario that you are coming across?

  • Hi JA10241,

can one not turn on the guest account from the Control Panel to enable many users to login without having to use a password ?
