Geolocator::GetGeopositionAsync() returns no CivicAddress RRS feed

  • Question

    please specify

    async private void GetGeolocation() { Geolocator myGeolocator = new Geolocator(); myGeolocator.DesiredAccuracyInMeters = 50; try { Geoposition pos = await myGeolocator.GetGeopositionAsync( maximumAge: TimeSpan.FromMinutes(5), timeout: TimeSpan.FromSeconds(10) ); string latitude = pos.Coordinate.Latitude.ToString(); string Longitude = pos.Coordinate.Longitude.ToString(); Windows.Devices.Geolocation.CivicAddress add = pos.CivicAddress;

  • Hi kshitijaggarwal,

    As noted in the other thread you posted in, the CivicAddress is not currently implemented. You will need to pass the latitude and longitude to an external service to get the civic address. For example, you can use the Bing Maps API: Find a Location by Point .
