Too many shortcuts... - Too many Chimes are displayed in Metro after an application is installed

    General discussion

  • When I install an app (say CCLeaner), I get chimes for all of the program features (Launch, Uninstall, Update etc) in Metro.

Is there any way to avoid this (but still get the default app icon)?

  • Why would you want to get rid of them? Chimes are part of the Metro UI userfriendliness.

I don't want to get rid of them all - I just don't want the whole group for the applcation displayed. (ie. the uninstall, options etc icons that would normally be in the program's start menu shortcut group)
