Microsoft Azure Linux VMs on a Cloud Service - How to monitor RRS feed

    Hi

    Hope this forum can help

    We have a couple of cloud services running Ubuntu. We would like to monitor these using SCOM etc. The normal way would be to add monitoring to the Windows Azure Service Configuration Schema, point Scom at it and off it goes. However with our cloud services and VMs this does not seem possible. So the question is

    1) Is there a Windows Azure Service Configuration Schema for a cloud service that runs Ubuntu VMs. If so where is it, can I download it and add monitoring to it? (note that these VMs were created using the "quick create" using an image from the MS Library

    2) If not,what would be the standard way for Scom to monitor these Ubuntu VMs. Am I guessing one goes direct to the machine through a port and setting something up on each specific VM

    Any help most gratefully received.
