rdlc subreport norows property

Hi,

I need to display the norows message of the rdlc subreport conditionaly.

ie. if a parameter value is 1 then need to display "student has no data". if parameter value is greater than 1 then need to display "Students have no data"

How can we apply different norows messages based on the parameter value.

Have you tried using an expression. For example,

=IIF(Parameters!YourParameter.Value <= 1,"Student" , "Students")

Yes. But expression is not supported in norows property. Only text is allowed.

I have a 2005 RDL report and the expression works there. 

If it the expression does not work, you may want to consider this alternative which is setting the Visible.Hidden property to an expression and adding a text box with the text you want to display when there is no data in the sub-report and setting this textbox's Visible.Hidden property to the negation of the previous expression.
