Not able to set the Retry policy on a job in windows Azure Scheduler RRS feed

  • Question

  • Not able to set the job retry policy to 2 minutes when the timeout happens from the scheduler . We are getting following exception when I tried  to set the retry to 2 minutes using windows Azure scheduler SchedulerClient. We set the re-occurrence to 1 hour for the job.

    Exception:-

    BadRequest: The provided job has a retry policy with a retry interval of '00:02:00' which is less than the minimum supported recurrence for this job collection plan '01:00:00'."}

    I am using the following code to retry for 2 minutes

      var result = schedulerClient.Jobs.CreateOrUpdate("jobid", new JobCreateOrUpdateParameters()
                {
                    Action = new JobAction()
                    {
                        Type = JobActionType.Https,

                        Request = jobReuest,
                        RetryPolicy = new RetryPolicy()
                        {
                            RetryCount = 5,
                            RetryInterval = TimeSpan.FromMinutes(2),
                            RetryType = RetryType.Fixed
                        }
                    },
                    StartTime = DateTime.UtcNow,

                });

  • Did you check the Max reoccurrence on the portal to make sure its not set to more than 2 minutes. Even though its a retry it will still have to adhere to the quota policy.
