  • Hi Alanda,

Please use Visual Studio 2015 Community version, it is free and supports the development on Office 365, Office, and SharePoint:

  • Thanks Patrick.

I have installed Visual Studio 2015 Community edition but didn't find SharePoint templates. Have to install Office Developer tool to install Office365 and SharePoint templates.

But can you please clarify regarding the Express Edition. Was it totally deprecated or is it renamed to Community because I didn't see any information regarding the change in VS or Microsoft blog.

Also in the community edition, can we have the versioning enabled i.e., can we link that to TFS. Please excuse if my question is silly but I would like to understand better.

    Regards Alanda
