Submitting a paid app to the store RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an app that I want to be a paid app with no trial or anything else special and was wondering do I need to do anything to it in terms of app code in order to make it a paid app or do I just simply choose a price for the app on the submission form when uploading?

  • Yes, you don't need to do anything special. Submit the app, set the price and Windows Store will handle the rest for you.

  • What about apps with trial? They probably require some additional code as well, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

  • If all what you need is to give a trial period, without limiting app's functionality during the trial, you don't need to do anything - it is configurable during the app submission. If you want some special app behavior in trial mode, for example showing Ads just in trial or hide some features, you can use LicenseInformation.IsTrial.
