Account Management

    Question

  • Hi,

When adding a New EA account, do the entity name reflect the name on the EA agreement? What happen when adding several Customer (EA or CSP Customer), do they automatically receive the name used on the agreement?

And is there any way to differentiate different customers in the Dashboard (choose Customer to view) - when having severeal Customer accounts added to Cloudyn?

    Thanks!

    /Joachim

  • Hello Joachim,

Thank you for using Azure Cost Management by Cloudyn and posting your questions. In Cloudyn, the subscription names will be the same as the EA, but you will create names for the entities. The following article has details on this: Create and Manage Entities.

For your second question, please visit these links for information on how to set up dashboard views and if desired, provide access o them for customers.

  • Thanks for the feedback Ben!

Is there any issue connecting different Companies With different agreements in one Cloudyn login?

  • Hello Joachim,

Currently, Azure EA, CSP, and Direct accounts cannot be used in the same Cloudyn tenant and may lead to "wrong API" errors. If you have each of these types of accounts, you will need to create a separate Cloudyn Tenant following the steps in these articles for each type of Azure subscription:

Also note that the subscriptions can only be added to a single Cloudyn tenant. For example, if your customer is already using Cloudyn for their subscriptions, they would need to remove them before they can be added to your tenant.

  • Hi Joachim,

You can have a single Cloudyn tenant as a CSP with multiple customer accounts per the setup allowed described above. Customer accounts can only reside under one Cloudyn tenant though, so if the customer has already activated an account under their own tenant, they would need to remove it before you could add it.

    Sincerely, Ben
