Please add DRAT and RZAT to IOCTL_STORAGE_QUERY_PROPERTY RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a requirement to know if the underlying device supports (at minimum) DRAT.    Currently, you can get that information directly from the ATA drive if non-RAID.  However RAID configurations support TRIM, but I don't see a way to communicate with the device under the RAID PhysicalDevice.  I thought perhaps the drivers would be wise enough to not allow RAID for devices that don't support DRAT, but not the case.

So for one, is there a way to determine DRAT support under RAID?  If not, can you please add it ASAP so it's in Win10 at minimum.  This information is important, heck, even just make exposing the Identify Device raw data available for drives based on ATA, ATAPI, and for SCSI the Inquiry data, a requirement for RAID drivers and gives us a way to easily get that info.

    TIA.
