NEED HELP open Excel 97-2003 on a server w/o Office application

Hi, I need to open old Excel 97-2003 files (with .xls extension) using .ASP.NET 3.5 (preferably using C#) on a server without Excel application installed. Please help~

Hi!

Could you use OleDb to read data or you need to read some special information like formatting etc.?

Yeah, I need both data and property (so reading .csv isn't going to work either).

but I've found the solution. a $450 dollar redistributable license by Winnovative. They provide a library to do this.
