  • Question

  • Is it technically possible to run UMLet click here for umlet website, a Java application as an add-in or add-on inside Visual Studio?

Upon further study of the MSDN documentation site, my revised question is....

According to your description, you want to run UMLet in a VSPackage. I'm not familiar with the UMLet. I have searched a lot but I can not find a interface between UMLet and VS.

As far as I know, it is impossible. The UMLet is a Java application. And Visual Studio do not support Java language. You can extend Visual Studio by creating VSPackages. These are the software modules that Visual Studio itself is made of. Tool windows, editors, services, and project types all are VSPackages. The Visual Studio SDK lets you create your own VSPackages.

    Best regards,
