How to remote systems local groups? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi everyone,

I do not have domain admin rights. but, i want to manage around 200 system's local groups accounts.

all the systems are having same admin password. i do not want to do it manually everytime, adding a ID to hundred systems and removing is a problem.

    Any suggestions will be helpful

  • This is probably not the right forum for this type of question.  However, I think this can be accomplished by connecting to the machine using the machine name and admin account.  For instance "net use \\somemachine /u:somemachine\administrator".  This should prompt for the local admin password.  Once you are finished, I believe you should be able to connect to the machine as your credentials are already applied.  As I'm not an expert, there might be domain level policies which prevent this so I would move this question to another based on the OS Version.
