Server Ctrl events stop firing when using a default page in IIS RRS feed

    I have a custom control which has worked great for years. On IIS7/vs2010 I implemented a default page in the web config

            <clear />
            <add value="Diagnostics.aspx" />

    If in my browser I put, http:website\it\Diagnostics.aspx the control works great.

    If in my browser I put http:website\it\    The diagnostics.aspx page loads.  Buttons created within the ctrl appear.  However, none of the button_click events within the control ever fire.  The page where the control is located does get a post back and if I trace the ctrl code the events are getting registered.  The page has no code in the code behind (doesn't need any), the ctrl does everything.

    Any ideas on why using a default page (no page name in the URL) would cause the postback events to stop working?

    Please try to set in the IIS in the "Default Page" property directly.
