Was Team Foundation Services indexing turned off?

    Could you please tell us which version of Visual Studio do you use?

    Please check whether you have connect to Team Foundation Services when you open your solution first. Please open the Source Control Explorer in Team Explorer windows to confirm the connection between your Visual Studio and TFS. If the connection is disconnected, the Source Control Explorer will show disconnected.

    Then please check the settings for CodeLens from Tools menu -> Options -> Text Editor -> All languages -> CodeLens, whether all TFS related sections are checked.
