Errors in Azure cache service RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a problem with a project production azure instance. Following is the scenario from the team

    Scenario:

We are using Azure cache to store our operator token in the cache after authentication.

And we use that token to authorization purposes in subsequent requests.

It seems we get a buffer size error when we are trying to write the object to cache.

And we get an exception saying “A temporary failure”

This scenario was working for some time, we have trouble from last week onwards. Please help us

  • hi,

From your description, you can refer to this thread (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23162914/temporary-failure-on-azure-caching-service) if the scenario is similar to it. Also, you could refer to this blogfor avoiding temporary failure errors . Any results or information, please let me know free.

Another factor may be the reason is Partial Performance Degradation from July 14, please see the dashboard.

  • Hi,

Need a little more information to understand the issue better.

    • What type of Cache Service are you using? Managed or In-Role.
    • Could you please elaborate on the “A temporary failure” exception? Are there any error codes?

    Best Regards,

    Mekh.
