  • MSDN Release Notes — March 16, 2017

     

    This release contains updated Windows protocol documents for the March 16 release in the Open Specifications library on MSDN.

    The following documents are new in this release:

    ·       [MS-HGSA]: Host Guardian Service: Attestation Protocol

    ·       [MS-KPS]: Key Protection Service Protocol

    ·       [MS-MICE]: Miracast over infrastructure Connection Establishment Protocol

    ·       [MS-XAML-2017]: XAML Object Mapping Specification 2017

     

    The following documents have been updated with new product content for this release:

    ·       [MS-ADTS]: Active Directory Technical Specification

    ·       [MS-CDP]: Connected Devices Platform Protocol Version 3

    ·       [MS-HVRS]: Connected Devices Platform Protocol Version 3

    ·       [MS-LCID]: Windows Language Code Identifier (LCID) Reference

    ·       [MS-MDE2]: Mobile Device Enrollment Protocol Version 2

    ·       [MS-RDPEGFX]: Remote Desktop Protocol: Graphics Pipeline Extension

    The following overviews have been updated with new product content for this release:

    The following documents have technical changes for this release:

    ·       [MS-DHA]: Device Health Attestation Protocol

    ·       [MS-RDPBCGR]: Remote Desktop Protocol: Basic Connectivity and Graphics

    ·       [MS-RDPEAR]: Remote Desktop Protocol Authentication Redirection Virtual Channel

    ·       [MS-RSVD]: Remote Shared Virtual Disk Protocol

    ·       [MS-SMB2]: Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol Versions 2 and 3

    ·       [MS-SFMWA]: Server and File Management Web APIs Protocol

    ·       [MS-WSDS]: WS-Enumeration: Directory Services Protocol Extensions

    In addition, .NET Framework 4.7 has been added to the list of product versions of 32 Windows documents, 3 SQL documents, and 2 Office documents.

    Note that previous versions of protocol documents are now available in PDF and DOCX format. Due to production processes, the release date for older documents might not exactly match the date in the document’s footer.
