How to use WritableBitmap->PixelBuffer?

    Question

  • Hi,

    I am using WritableBitmap to read pixels from an ImageSource object. The problem I have is I don't know how to deal with WritableBitmap->PixelBuffer. The type of PixelBuffer is IBuffer. In .Net, I see examples of using extension AsStream. But in c++, what should I do? The MSDN document doesn't say much about IBuffer.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Fan,

    The WriteableBitmap PixelBuffer isn't exposed to C++ in the Developer Preview. This oversight should be corrected in future builds.

    If you search this forum you should find a thread discussing the internal implementation details of the buffer.

  • Thank you Rob!

    Could you please point to the thread about the buffer detail? I found this one "Reading/Writing to an IBuffer". But not sure it is right.

    Thanks,
