Cannot install ASP.NET MVC 4 for Visual Studio 2010 RRS feed

    Recently installed Visual C# 2010 Express and Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.  ASP.NET MVC 4 fails to install from the Visual Web Developer 2010 Express package.  Tried installing with stand alone ASP.NET MVC 4 for Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and Visual Web Developer 2010 SP1 to no avail.  Received this message: Setup Failed  0x80070643  Fatal error during installation and the Log File is copied below. 

    Running Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Yes.  The Help|About box reveals SP1 Rel for both Visual C# 2010 Express and Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.  Also, when trying to install VS10sp1-KB983509, I get the option of: Reapply Microsoft Visual Studio Service Pack 1 or remove it.

    If you used Web Platform Installer and received this error you might want to instead try the installer itself.

    Just a shot in the dark usually it is a lack of having SP1 installed that causes dependancy errors.

    hi there,

    have you tried to install it on the other system? How about if you install ASP.NET MVC 4 first and then, followed by VS 2010?

    I can get ASP.NET MVC 4 installed properly on my system, together with the VS 2010
