Low fps RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I installed the SDK today but when I run the Skeletal Viewer sample I get only very low frame rates which goes around 8 fps.

I also developed an application using the API but the performance is the same.

Is there any way to increase the performance? I suppose the SDK is working under high resolution images captured in order to generate the skeleton. Is it possible to specify the resolution or use a pyramid of images in order to increase the performance?

In the past I was working with NITE + OpenNI but I decided to give a try to Microsoft since it will probably do more work on the API and surpass the other one in features, but its performance is still lower than the other one, which I can get at least 20 fps AFAIK.

Thanks in advance - any help would be appreciatted.

    Caio
