How to remove a ENTSSO server(not the master secret server anymore) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a setup where 'Server A' is ENTSSO master secret server and 'Server B, Server C' are the non-master servers.

I have now moved the master secret server to Server B and Server C is still the non-master server.

I would now like to remove Server-A from the SSO database because I can still see it in ENTSSO admin console and also Server A will be shutdown soon.

Is there any way to remove this server? Any info on this will be helpful.

    Regards

  • Unconfiguring should be all you need to do.

You do this in BizTalk Configuration.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your answer. But I don't see ENTSSO is configured in Server A.

  • Well, what exactly do you mean ENTSSO?  That's not actually a name for anything.

  • Hi,

When I open BizTalk configuration I don't see anything configured in Server A. If I look into SSOX_Servers table in SSO db I can still see 3 servers(Server A, B, C).

Since Server A will be shutdown soon, so I want to remove it. Will there be any problem which I don't expect because I stopped ENTSSO service on Server A to test.

But If there is any way to remove this server then it would be nice.

  • Was BizTalk uninstalled from Server A before unconfiguring?

  • Hi John,

Sorry for a late reply. No, I can still see only ENTSSO being installed on Server A.

I am also wondering how is it possible to make Server A as a master secret server without configuring BizTalk. Do you know if Server A is shutdown(as it's not anymore the master server) will there be any problem?

Though it would be nice to remove this server completely.

  • You can install the MSS without full BizTalk Server by choosing the Master Secret Server option in BizTalk Setup.

When you run BizTalk Configuration, does anything show?  Configured or Unconfigured?

  • Hi,

When I open BizTalk configuration, nothing is configured. It just opens with start configuring BizTalk window.
