Office365 Exchange Managed API 2.2 Windows Service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    We are running into an issue with EWS Managed API communicating with Office365 as a windows service on Server 2012 R2, and Server 2016.

    We have enabled EWS tracing to write out the requests and responses.  When we perform a sync on a folder, the service seems to stop there (just hangs, the service and the sync attempt never seem to timeout):

    ChangeCollection<ItemChange> changes = ExchangeService.SyncFolderItems(folderId, PropertySet.IdOnly, null, 5, SyncFolderItemsScope.NormalItems, syncState);

    We do see the EwsRequest.txt and EwsRequestHttpHeaders.txt written to file from teh tracing, but no responses are received

    However:

    • If I run the same code as a console application, the responses are are processed by the windows service with no issue.
    • If run on a Windows 10 machine with settings to connect to EWS on Office365 the same service connects, synchronizes, and subscribes to a streaming notifications.
    • the same service connects, synchronizes, and subscribes to a streaming notifications using an on-premise Exchange deployment without issue.

    Any one have any suggestions as to what may be causing the issue?
