Hello!
Good Day!
I am an Asp.Net Developer using with VS 2010 Professional Version Web Application on Windows 7 Professional Operating system.
I developed web application for my clients with above Asp.Net with MSSQL server and finally I build the application through Asp.Net 2010 Professional.
Now my completed application is in a Binary Format, now I upload windows hosting provider (discountasp.net) and configure MS SQL server as a database.
The application is running fine no issues.
I have two packs about my application:
- Secured Source code pack (I can change the code and again I make it new binary pack)
- Binary format pack for hosting
Hosting info:
- This will run only on Windows hosting server (dot Net framework 4.0/4.5)
- This is required MS SQL server database on above windows hosting server.
Regarding my Asp.net above application complete source code is in safe and secure in my hard disk as well as backup in Dad’s.
If someone theft my online application from above hosting provider (it’s impossible, highly secure in discountasp.net) still, it’s completely in a binary format application, there is no source code about my web application, so no use for this. My application code is safe.
But my application is running on Windows hosting provider and MS SQL server database only. But you can view my above web application from any browser from any OS as a client.
Now 2019 Microsoft release Asp.Net CORE
Now I would like to buy Visual Studio Professional 2019
Before I buy this I need a clear clarification, regarding this I search blogs and videos but I can’t find the answer.
I can develop the above applications in Visual studio professional 2019
The advantages are as per my knowledge is
Now my asp.net 2019 application is hosting in
- Linux Server
- Mac Server
- Windows Server
My question is in above VS 2010 Professional Version, I have two packs about my application.
- Secured Source code pack (I can change the code and again I make it new binary pack)
Is it possible to make in VS 2019 Professional version
- Secure source code pack
- Binary format pack
- This binary format pack is for hosting on Linux, Mac, Windows Server as it is?
Thank you,

Can you tell me what are these 2 packs?
If you can, please provide the address of these two packs, I will help you test in VS 2019 Professional version.
Best regards,

Hi! Samwu!
Please once again go through my question.
- Is it possible to generate bin format in VS 2019 Professional version? (not in VS 2010 Pro)
- Is this bin format pack uploads and run in Linux, Mac Hosting Servers?
- This bin format pack we can upload and run in Windows servers perfectly, everyone know this, no more issues in Windows Servers.

Hi dotnetcorecms,
Is it possible to generate bin format in VS 2019 Professional version?According to your screenshot above, yours seems to be a website project.
I suggest you download the Visual Studio Community(This is free) to test your project.
Is this bin format pack uploads and run in Linux, Mac Hosting Servers? As far as i know, only ASP.NET Core is a cross-platform.

Hi Samwu!
First you understand this:
The Source code website application and Published website application In VS 2010 Pro Version.
- Source code website application we keep it in our Hard Disk/DVD’s
- Published website application we upload in Windows hosting server.
Do you know this?
Published website application we can’t change in code (we can’t see the code also).
Only we have to change in Source code website application.
In VS 2019 Prof: also published website application.
After publish website application, we upload in Windows hosting server, its working perfectly, no more issues.
But what about Linux and Mac Servers?
Second one is: I don’t want any VS Community (Free) versions.
I have already VS 2010 Professional Version.
Again I am ready to buy VS 2019 Professional Version also.
Still you are not understood clearly, just leave this.

Just a quick note. If you are looking for hosting on a non-Windows platform, that means using Asp.Net Core, and the project you have now is a Web Forms project. Web Forms is not supported in Core. It would be a re-write.
Also, the suggestion to download the free VS 2019 community version is so you can test things. It does not prevent you from buying the Professional version later if your use does not qualify for the free version. There are no significant differences in the features: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/compare/

Regarding Database MS SQL Server I am connecting from my Website Hosting provider.
Now Prepare to Publish in VS 2019 Prof.
This will convert in Bin format (No aspx.cs files, all are become dlls in Bin) Cool....
Now I would like to upload and try to test this application online.
