Visual Studio 2015 Community License Expired issue....

    Question

  • Hello,

I am working as a Technical Assistant in a Educational Institution. In our Institution more than 2500 Systems are connected in LAN.

Recently we have downloaded and installed Visual Studio Community 2015 in our Labs. Now, It is showing License has expired. Sign in to acquire a license. So, We logged into our Microsoft account it is started to work.

But our Problem is , We have more than 5000 students in our Institute. We have provided individual Domain account for all the students. Also, all the systems which is in our Network are connected to our Domain. So, every student has to login with their domain account.

Now the issue is, the licensing error is showing all the domain accounts even after activate the VS Community 2015 same system with different domain account.

Also, All the students don't have Microsoft account to activate them self.

What are the things we have to do to solve this issue?

Is there any steps to resolve this scenario?

Please help us to resolve this issue.

    Thanks in Advance.

  • Hi Thavamani Shanmugam,

    Thanks for your post.

As far as I know, if use different domain accounts to connect to the environment. You need to active the VS2015 Communtiy separately.

So in order to solve this problem is that you could ask every sudent to create a new Microsoft Account. Then use this account to active the VS2015 Community.
