How to get a method executed at the click on a CommandbarPopup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using a CommandbarPopup control in my outlook 2007 addin. I want to have one of my methods to be executed at the time it is being clicked or expanded. (To add some buttons in the expanding list). Is there a way to do this ? Code examples will be appreciated.
    Thank you

  • Hello Kalpa,

Outlook 2007 uses Ribbon UI (aka Fluent UI) for inspector windows and command bars for explorers only. Where do you use CommandBar's Popup control? Is it an explorer window?

  • Hi Eugene,

    Thank you for the reply.

Yes. I have added this CommandbarPopup in the manu bar in the explorer window.  I want to determine/ get my custom method fired at the click/expansion of this popup. Click event is only for CommandbarButtons which in this case wont help me out.

  • Try to use menu instead and populate it dynamically. The popup control doesn't provide such events.
