The <asp:TextBox> tag does not execute RRS feed

  • Question

  • User1622592694 posted

    I am a newbie with Asp.NET and have installed Asp.Net 3.5 on my development computer.  Using the default IIS that installs with Asp.NET 3.5, my pages execute properly.  When I move the project to my Windows 2000 server, the <asp:???> tags do not execute.  The project is installed in a virtual directory and when run, I get a blank screen, however the Page Source shows that everything is there BUT the <asp:???> tags.

    This test code does execute:

    <%@ Page Language="C#"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Hello World!</title>
    </head>
    <body>
       <% for (int i=0; i <6; i++) { %>
          <font size="<%=i%>"> I don't want the world, I just want your half </font> <br>
       <% }
       Response.Write("<p><cite>They Might Be Giants - Todd</cite>");
       %>
    </body>
    </html>

    Many thanks for help in resolving this problem...

    Todd

    P.S. Is this the correct forum for this question?

    I have .NET Framework 2.0 installed on my Windows 2000 server.  I used Aspnet_regiss -1 to install it.

    Can Asp.NET 3.5 be installed on Server 2000?  As I recall, when I tried it I got an error.

    Thank you...

    IIS is running on Server 2000 (SP 4) box.  It was installed on a clean computer using the Server 2000 CD.  This code executes:
